WEDNESDAY, February 19, 1868.
The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Hildt.
Present at roll call :

Messrs. President, Browne, Clarke, Denson, Fields, Grove,
Hyland, Maddox, Malone, Parker, of Calvert, Parker, of
Worcester, Spates, Snyder, Walsh, Welch—15.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 124 and 130
of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the corporate
authorities of the town of Millington, in Kent county, and to

enact a substitute for said sections.

Which, was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to facilitate the examination of

titles to land in Baltimore County, by authorizing the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Baltimore County to make out gen-
eral indexes to the law and equity dockets in his office, and to
provide for paying for the same.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House hill entitled an Act to protect Claras and Shell Fish,
in Worcester county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, sections 33, 34, 35, 39 and 75, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Revenue and Taxes," and re-
lating to the appointment of and the bonds to be given by and
compensation paid to the collectors of State taxes,

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Finance.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 58, of Article
