amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the National
Savings Bank of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal the Act of 1867, chapter
164, entitled an Act to provide for the payment of costs in-
curred before Justices of the Peace, before appeal shall be-
heard from their decisions.

Which, was read the first time and referred to the Committee-
on the Judiciary.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act for the relief of Columbus Scar-
borough, of Harford county.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 17, Article 53, of
the Code of Public General Laws entitled Landlord and
Tenant, exempting certain articles from distress for rent, and
to re-enact the same.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

Eeturned Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 129*
of the Acts of 1864, entitled an Act to add additional sec-
tions to the 44th Article of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Maryland Hospital," prescribing an additional oath
to be taken by the President, Vice President and Visitors of
the said Hospital, and to reinstate the former President,
Vice President and Visitors of the said Hospital in office.

Endorsed " Passed by yeas and nays."
Also,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the American Life-
Insurance and Trust Company to settle any outstanding
transaction in which it may be interested.
