And House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 46 and
47 of the Code of Public Local Laws for Somerset county,

and to re enact the same with amendments,

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :

The bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance reported

Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Francis J. Henry,

Clerk of the Circuit Court for Dorchester county, a certain
sum of money erroneously paid into the Treasury.

Which was read the first time.
Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to require the journal clerks to
the County Commissioners, and the clerk to the Appeal Tax
Court of Baltimore city, to make out a copy of the revised
assessments of 1866, and return the same to the Comptroller
of the Treasury.

A bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of
Public General Laws, to be entitled Foreign Insurance, to
provide for the appointment of a superintendent of Foreign
Insurance, and for licensing Foreign Insurance Companies
carrying on the business in this State of Fire Insurance,
Marine Insurance, Inland Navigation Insurance, Life Insur-
ance, Accident Insurance, Health Insurance and all other
kinds of insurance of every description, and for taxing for
State and municipal purposes, the revenues accruing from
such insurance business done in this State by all insurance
companies not incorporated by the laws of this State, and for
the repeal of sections 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35 and

36, of the 56th Article of the Code of Public General Laws,
sub-title Foreign Insurance and Companies.
