Senate bill entitled an Act supplemental to an Act to pro-
vide for the restoration of the Records, Indexes, Dockets and
papers destroyed or injured by fire in the office of the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Baltimore county, passed January
session. 1867, chapter 234.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The following Senate bills were this day sent to His Excel-
lency, the Governor, for his approval:

An Act to organize the Circuit Court for Wicomico county
and to regulate the terms thereof.

An Act to repeal chapter 153, passed January session, 1867,
entited an Act to add an additional section to Article 30 of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to Crimes and
Punishments, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

An Act to repeal the 32nd section of Article 22, of the
Puhlic Local Laws, title Worcester county, regulating the
terms of court for said county, and to re-enact the same with
amendments.

Mr. Lee presented a petition from citizens of Prince
George's county to provide for appeals to the Commissioners
from valuation of the Assessors,

Which was referred to the Committee on Finance.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to compensate Joseph M. Palmer for services rendered.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Earle, Welch and Fields to
report a hill to authorize the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's county to levy a sum to repair the Court House.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill as regards clandestine removal of
property by tenant pending a lien of landlord.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

February 17th, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message requesting the return to
your Honorable Body, the hill entitled "an Act to repeal
sections 46 and 47, of the Code of Puhlic Local Laws for
Somerset county, and to re-enact the same with amendments,"
