House bill entitled an Act authorizing the Howard Bank,
of the city of Baltimore, to cancel and extinguish capital
stock owned and held by said bank.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to enable the Vestry of Saint-
Thomas Parish in Baltimore county, to hold money in trust
for certain religious and charitable purposes, connected with
the Protestant Episcopal Church iu America, or with said
Parish.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Snyder,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate a company to be called the
"Wando Company."

On motion by Mr. Welch,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Welch, Earle, and Hyland
to report a bill to repeal sections four and five of the Act
passed the 8th day of March, 1856, chapter 148, entitled "an
Act to incorporate the Kent county Railroad Company" and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Grove,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate "The Agricultural and
Mechanical Association of Washington county.

Senate bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to
Article 53 of the Code of Public General Laws of the State of
Maryland, entitled " Landlord and Tenant," to follow sec-
tion 21.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled anAct to pay Cushings & Bailey, J.
E. G-. Munroe and Thomas A. McKibtbin.

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to release George W. Kennerly,
a minor, of Wicomico county.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
