Mr. Malone offered the following order:

Ordered, That the Committee on Printing be directed to
have printed for the use of the Senate, twenty-five hundred
copies of the Constitution of the State of Maryland.

Which,

On motion by Mr. Earle,
Was referred to the Committee on Printing.

On motion by Mr. Hammond, it was

Ordered, That "The Harbor and River Relief Board of
Baltimore," be requested to report their proceedings to the
General Assembly as required by sec. 4, chap. 243, of the
laws of 1867. And they are further requested to state in said
report, the cost per day of running the ice boat, with the
items, for coal, officers' salaries, &c.

On motion by Mr. Hyland,

The following message was sent to the House of Delegates:

BY THE SENATE,

February 17, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to the
Senate the bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 46 and 47
of the Code of Public Local Laws for Somerset county, and to
enact the same with amendments.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

The President laid before the Senate the report of the num-
ber of male and female children attendant on the schools
attached to St. Peter's and Paul's Catholic Church, in Wes-
ternport, &c.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Education.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller to
invest the balance of the unappropriated fund arising from
the sale of the land scrip, donated by the United States, for
the benefit of agricultural and mechanical arts.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.
