Mr. Clarke submitted the following amendment: Amend section one by inserting after the word cents, no Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows : AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Clarke, Henkle—3. NEGATIVE. Messrs. President, Maddox, Browne, Malone, Brewer, Parker, of Calvert, Carroll, Parker, of Worcester, Denson, Spates, Grove, Snyder, Hammond, Smith, Kimmel, Welch—16. Mr. Henkle submitted the folowing amendment: Strike out the words, "the sum of eight dollars," after Which was adopted. And the bill as amended was then passed by yeas and nays AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
