Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

The bill entitled an Act to further amend the charter of
the Associated Firemen's Insurance Company of the city of
Baltimore.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 1 of the Act
passed March 23, 1867, chapter 187, entitled an Act to limit
the amount of stationery furnished to members and officers
of the General Assembly, and to provide a system of commu-
tation, and re-enact in lieu of section 1, so repealed, the fol-
lowing.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Contingent Expenses.

Also returned

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the
Judges of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, to hear imme-
diately, the appeal now pending in the said Court, wherein
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, is the appellant,
and the Union rail Road Company of Baltimore, the appel-
lee.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2 and 6, of
chap. 76 of the Act passed December session, 1847, entitled
an Act to incorporate a company in the town of Hagerstown,
in Washington county, to be styled the "Hagerstown Ly-
ceum,"

Being the order of the day, was taken up on its third read-
ing and read a third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :
