Wife," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to repeal a portion of section 308, of
Article 93, title "Testamentary Law," sub-title "Wills," re-
lating to the execution of wills by married women and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to amend the 2d section of the 45th
Article of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Husband,
and Wife," by adding thereto and re-enacting the same.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to refund a certain amount of money, over-paid
into the Treasury by Jas. E. Alvey.

On motion by Mr. Henkle, it was

Ordered, That the Public Printer be requested to have the
name of Anne Arundel county spelled and printed correctly,
as established by the Constitution and Laws of the State, in
all copies of the report of the State Superintendent of Public
Instruction, to be hereafter printed.

On motion by Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill to extend the time of John S. Moore, late Sheriff
of Dorchester county, to complete his collections of fees.

On motion by Mr. Denson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Baltimore Ice Company.

On motion by Mr. Maddox,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill to repeal section 18 of Article 56 of
the Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact the same
with amendment.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to regulate by law the compensation of the various-
officers and employees of the General Assembly.

Mr. Welch presented the petition of sundry citizens of the
Third District of Kent county, asking a change in the place
of voting in said county.
