194 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 11,

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

February 11, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have received your message proposing, a joint special
committee of four on the part of the House, and three on the
part of the Senate, to whom shall be referred all propositions
looking to a removal of the Tobacco Warehouses of the State
from their present location, and respectfully concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the House Messrs. Wil-
liams, Herbert, Hammond and Chapman.

MILTON Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.
Also,

House bill entitled an Act appropriating a sum of money to
be expended in removing the remains of the Confederate dead
who fell in the battles of South Mountain, Crampton's Gap
and Antietam, or died of wounds received in said battles, to
the Antietam National Cemetery.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 75 and 76, of
Article 21, Public Local Laws, relating to the town of Clear
Spring, Washington county, and to re-enact the same with
amendments, so as to read as follows.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Corporations.

Also,

House joint resolution, requesting the Governor to deliver
to John de la Camp, the unfinished maps now in the office
of the Executive, defining the boundary lines between the
States of Maryland and Virginia.

Which, was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on the Library.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Antietam
Hotel Company, of Hagerstown.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.
