On. motion by Mr Smith,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments to introduce a bill entitled a Supplement to the Act
passed at the January session, 1866, chapter 52, entitled an
" Act to incorporate the Dorchester and Delaware Rail Road
Company, and to direct the payment to the said company of
the sum of money, pledged by the Act passed at the Janu-
ary session, 1860, chapter 303, to works of internal improve-
ments in Dorchester county."

The President submitted a communication from Joseph
Davenport in relation to McKim's Free School.

Which was referred to the Committee on Education.

Mr. Spates, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably House bill entitled an Act to incorpoate the Atlan-
tic Hotel Company of Berlin, Worcester county.

Which, was read the second time.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Washington
County Savings Institution.

Which was read the second time.
Also,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2 and 6, of chap-
ter 76, of the Act passed December session, 1847, entitled an
Act to incorporate a company in the town of Hagerstown, in
Washington county, to be styled the Hagerstown Lyceum.

Which was read the second time.
Also,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of
Westernport, Allegany county, Md.

Which was read the second time.
Also,

House bill entitled an Act entitled an Act to incorporate
a company to open and improve the road from Frederick
city, in Frederick county, to the Spout Spring on the Ham-
burg road, passing Bradrup's Saw Mill, passed at January
session, 1860, of the General Assembly of Maryland, chapter
267.

With amendments as follows :
Amend by striking out the 3d section.
Which was adopted,
And the bill read a second time.
