Mr. Lee, from the Committee on Labor and Immigration,
introduced a bill entitled an Act to encourage and facilitate
Immigration to the State of Maryland.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Welch, from the Committee on Elections, reported
favorably House bill entitled an Act to define the limits of
the several election districts in Wicornico county.

Which was read the second time.

Also,

Favorably, House bill entitled an Act to change a part of
the dividing line between the 3d and 4th election districts of
Baltimore city.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Grove, it was

Ordered, That the printed report of the Commissioners on
incorporations as now printed, be not distributed.

Mr. Smith, from a select committee reported favorably
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize" and empower the
County Commissioners of Dorchester county to sell and con-
vey the Almshouse property of said county, and invest so
much of the proceeds thereof as may be necessary in the
building or purchasing another Almshouse for said county,

Which was read the first time.
On motion by Mr. Clarke, it was

Ordered, That the chairman of Printing Committee, be,
and he is hereby authorized to designate a person whose duty
it shall be to convey to the Painter all matter ordered to be
printed other than the Journal, and to see the same is
properly returned, and all printing matter after being ordered
by the Senate shall be referred to the chairman of Printing
Committee.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the
Treasurer to pay to Mrs. Frances Miller a sum of money due
Wm. R. Miller, deceased, for per diem and mileage as a
member of the Legislature of Maryland at the session of 1861.

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate Newton Lodge
No. 66 of the Independent Order of Odd-Fellows at Salis-
bury, Wicomico county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
