county.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to Committee
on Elections.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to provide for the improvement of
their public works by making appropriations therefor within
certain limits.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
from Baltimore city.

Also,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of
Lutherville, in Baltimore county.

Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

Which was read the first time and referred to Com-
mittee on Corporations.

And returned Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize
Lemuel Malone to settle his accounts as guardian to George
W. Smith, and to pay over all money due said ward.
Endorsed, " Passed by yeas and nays."

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill authorizing and directing the payment of a sum of
money to Mrs. Frances Miller.
On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to make the necessary appropriation for the purchase of
the site for the Executive Mansion selected by the Committees
on Public Buildings of the Senate and House of Delegates
acting jointly in reference to said selection.

Mr. Spates, from the Committee on Corporations to which
was referred Seriate bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Fairmount Academy in District No. 11, Somerset county,
reported it favorbly,

And it was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 59 of the
Code of Public General Laws relating to mandamus by add-
ing thereto additional sections,

Came up for its second reading, and,
On motion by Mr. Snyder,
