Mr. Nicolai presented the petition of Michael Kelly, Wm.
A. Bond, and 26 other citizens of Baltimore county, praying
the passage of an Act to continue the present school system
in force until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation .

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, presented the petition of 68 citi-
zens of Worcester county, praying the passage of an Act to
continue the present school system until the 15th of July,
1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Williams presented the petition of 40 citizens of the
2nd election district of Prince George's county, praying the
passage of an Act requiring the County Commissioners of
said county to levy a sum of money to repair and extend the
bridge and abutments across the Eastern Branch at Bladens-
burg.

Which was read and referred to the Prince George's dele-
gation.

Also, the petition of Joanna Edelen, mother of Francis A.
Posey, and 29 citizens of Prince George's county, praying
the passage of an Act authorizing said Francis A. Posey, a
minor, of Prince George's county, to receive and take control
of his property.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Iglehart presented the petition of 256 citizens of Anne
Arundel county, praying the continuance of the public school
system of the State until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Colton submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the order of the 24th inst. be rescinded,
and instead thereof the use of this Hall is granted on the
same evening to Mr. James C. Welling for a free lecture OR
the same subject.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Coudy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Chief Clerk of the House furnish to the
Clerks and Registers of this State a copy of the daily
Journal.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Richards submitted the following order :
