Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Also the reply of the Clerk of County Commissioners of
Charles County, to an order of the House adopted on the
13th instant.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Roads
and Highways.

Mr. Morse presented the petition of Charles A. Wilson
and three hundred citizens of Baltimore, in relation to con-
vict labor.

Which was read and referred to the select committee on
that subject.

Mr. Jordan presented a petition from John M. Boring,
Henry Reagle, H. L. Linaweaver and ninety-nine other citi-
zens of Carroll County, praying for the passage of an Act to
continue the present school system to the 15th of July, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Silver presented the petition of Wm. S. Bowman, of
Harford county, praying relief by an Act of Assembly, au-
thorizing the Commissioners of said county to cause to be
located for him a private road from the land of said peti-
tioner to the county road.

Which was read and referred to the Harford delegation.

Mr. Poteet presented the petition of John Willis and 11
other public school teachers in Baltimore county, praying
the passage of an Act to continue in force the present school
system until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Educa-
tion.

Mr. Corbin presented the petition of 216 citizens of Som-
erset county, praying that the present school system be con-
tinued until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Slingluff presented a petition from citizens of Balti-
more city and county against the repeal of the fuueral law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Holmes presented the petition of John M. Willson,
S. B. Lane and 23 other citizens of Baltimore county, pray-
ing the passage of an Act to continue the present school sys-
tem in force until July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.
