Mr. Herbert submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 3, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message proposing to go into the
election of Treasurer on Thursday next, at 12 o'clock, and
respectfully concur therein.

By order,

MILTON Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk,

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Mr. Legg submitted the following order :

Ordered, That so much of the Governor's Message as re-
lates to oysters and the oyster trade be referred to a select
committee, to be composed of one from each tide-water
county.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Holmes moved that when the House adjourns it stand
adjourned until Tuesday next at 12 o'clock.

Mr. McElroy moved that when the House adjourns it stand
adjourned until Monday next at 12 o'clock.

The question being first taken upon the motion of Mr,
Holmes, it was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

The House, at two o'clock and forty-five minutes, adjourned
until Tuesday next at 12 o'clock.
