82 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 24,

January session, 1867, entitled an Act to add an additional
section to Article 30 of the Code of Public General Laws
relating to crimes and punishments, and re-enact the same
with amendments.

Which was considered with amendments, and,
On motion by Mr. Smith,

Was re-committed to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings.

Also,

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 45th section of
Article 29 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled
" Circuit Courts for the Counties," and substitute the fol-
lowing section in lieu thereof:

Which, was read the first time.
Also,

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the better pro-
tection of partridges in Washington county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from select committee reported a bill entitled
an Act to repeal a part of the first section of an Act entitled
an Act entitled an Act to carry into effect the 8th section of
the Act entitled an Act for the promotion of internal im-
provements, passed at December session, 1835, chapter 395,
passed at January session, 1860, chapter 303.

Which was read the first time,

And the rules were suspended by the following vote :

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to Senators Henkle, Hyland and Kim-
mel to introduce a till reap pointing former Commissioners
of Maryland Insane Asylum.

Mr. Hyland, from select committee, reported Senate bill
entitled an Act for the relief of Robert H. Corbin, of Som-
erset county.
