Leave was granted to Select Committee, Kent and Caro-
line County delegations to introduce a bill to amend the 14th
section of the Act entitled an Act to incorporate the Kent
County Railroad Company, chapter 148, passed at January
session, 1856, and to re-enact the same as amended.

On motion of Mr. Syester,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to introduce a bill authorizing the County Commissioners oi
Washington county, to purchase the original records and
field notes and hooks of the different surveyors of Washing-
ton county.

On motion of Mr. Slingluff,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to
introduce a hill to open West Fayette street extended into
Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Conway,

Leave was asked to report a bill to repeal sub-sections 179
and 180, with section 2 of chapter 66, of January session,
1866, and to re-enact the same with amendment.

Mr. Nicolai moved its reference to a select committee of
five.

Which was rejected.

On motion of Mr. Devecmon,
The leave was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

On motion of Mr. Richards,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to report
a bill for the relief of the soldiers and their widows of the
War of 1812 and 1814.

On motion of Mr. Wentz,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 21 and 25, ot
Article 74 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Pi-
lots, and to re-enact the same with amendments, so as to
read as follows :

Mr. Rose (the rules being suspended,) presented the peti-
tion of sundry citizens of Talbot county, praying the passage
of an Act to continue in force the present school system un-
til July 15th, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act to repeal section 127 of the 4th Article of the Code of
Public Local Laws relating to the City of Baltimore, and to
substitute in lieu thereof the following :
