By THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 23, 1868,
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We respectfully propose that a committee of seven of this
House be joined with a committee of four, on the part of the
Senate, to visit the Maryland Institute and School of Design,
to inspect the same and report to their respective Houses con-
cerning the condition and wants of said Institute, and we
have named as said committee on the part of this House,
Messrs. Colton, Syester, Brown, Poteet, M itch ell, Wentz and
Holloway.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

The following message was sent to the House of Delegates:

BY THE SENATE,

January 23, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received the message of your Honorable Body,
proposing the appointment of a joint special committee to
visit the Maryland Institute and School of Design, and con-
cur therein. We have appointed on the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Henkle, Earle, Miller, and Parker, of Calvert.

On motion by Mr. Henkle,

Leave was granted to the Senators to whom was referred
the memorial of the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of Mary-
land, to report a supplement to an Act entitled an Act to es-
tablish and incorporate a Medical and Chirurgical Faculty or
Society in Maryland, passed 1799.
On motion by Mr. Kimmel,

The order of yesterday, directing the State Printer to print
certain copies of the report of the Commissioners appointed to
prepare drafts of General Laws,

Was reconsidered and the following order substituted:

Ordered, That the Printer to the General Assembly be
and he is hereby directed to fold twenty-five copies of the
report of the Commissioners appointed to prepare drafts of
General Laws relating to corporations and other purposes,
with a fly-leaf for every leaf of printed matter, and to print
twenty-five copies of said report in bill form for the use of
the Senate.

On motion by Mr. Welch,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to bring
