Mr. Kimmell, from the Committee on Internal Improve-
ments, reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to
authorize the location of a public road in Frederick and Car-
roll counties.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Grove, from the Committee 011 Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably House bill entitled an Act to require the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Washington county, to pre-
pare and make a general index to the Land Records of Wash-
ington county, and to transcribe one of the equity dockets
of said Court.

Which was read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act providing for the issue of exe-
cution on judgments in Somerset and Worcester counties
against persons residing in Wicomico county,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Talbot county, to copy the General Index
to Land Becords in his office from 1833 to 1868,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal the 32d section of
Article 22, of the Public Local Laws, title Worcester county,
regulating the terms of Court for said county, and to re-
enact the same with amendments,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engros-
sed.

Mr. Henkle presented the memorial of the Medical and
Chirurgical Faculty of Maryland,

Which was read, and on his motion referred to Senators
Drs. Henkle, Brown, Smith, Brewer, Hyland, and Parker.

The following messages were received from the House of
Delegates :

January 23, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message, proposing the appoint-
ment of a committee by this House to act in conjunction with
one appointed by your body in relation to the office and
duties of the Superintendent of Agriculture and Labor, and
concur therein, and have appointed on the part of the House,
Messrs. Syester, Legg, Nelson, Worthington, Albaugh,
Mearns and Hubbard.
