The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund taxes erroneously
paid by Matilda C. Pearce, guardian of Mary Clementine
Pearce, of Kent county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Snyder,

The order to engross for a third reading,

Was reconsidered, and the bill ordered to lie on the table.
On motion by Mr. Snyder,

The order to lie on the table was reconsidered and the bill
ordered to be recommitted.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the follow-
ing message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 15, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We respectfully invite your Honorable Body to convene
with this House, in joint assembly, at 12 o'clock, meridian,
this day, in accordance with the Act of Congress of the ses-
sion of 1865-66, chapter 245, entitled " an Act to regu-
late the times and manner of holding elections for Senators
in Congress. By order,

On motion by Mr. Miller,

The following message was sent to the House of Dele-
gates :

BY THE SENATE,

January 15, 1868.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received your message inviting this Body to con-

o'clock, M., this day, in accordance with the Act of Congress,
entitled "an Act to regulate the times and manner of holding
elections for Senators in Congress," and concur therein.
