The Senate met pursuant to adjournment.

Present at roll call :

Messrs. President, Biggs, Brewer, Carroll, Earle, Grove,
Hyland, Hammond, Maddox, Malone, Parker, of Calvert,
Parker, of Worcester, Spates, Snyder, Smith, Welch—16.

Mr. Snyder laid before the Senate a communication from
the Judges of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore city,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings.

On motion By Mr. Hammond,

The petition of sundry citizens of Talbot county was read
and referred to the Committee on Education.

On motion by Mr. Brewer, it was

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-day it adjourns
to meet at 11 o'clock, A. M,, of each day hereafter, until
farther ordered.

On motion hy Mr. Earle,

The report of the Trustees of the Centreville Academy
was read and referred to the Committee on Education.
