On motion by Mr. Miller, it was

Ordered, That the Commissioners appointed by the Gov-
ernor " to prepare drafts of General Laws providing for the
creation of corporations, and for revising and amending the
General Laws in existence on the first day of June, eighteen
hundred and sixty-seven, providing for the creation of Cor-
porations and for other purposes," be requested to report at
the earliest day practicable, for the action of the General
Assembly thereon.

On motion by Mr. Henkle, it was

Ordered, That the Librarian furnish to the members and
officers of the Senate, and the Reporter of the Senate, the
same articles of stationery furnished at the last session, if
required, not to exceed the amount limited by law.

Mr. Denson submitted the following :

Ordered, That the ministers of religion resident in the
city of Annapolis be requested to arrange among themselves,
select, and name to the President of the Senate, one of their
number of each of the religious denominations to which they
respectively belong, alternately to officiate as Chaplain to
open the daily sessions of the Senate with prayer ;

Which was read.

Mr. Carroll submitted the following amendment:

Strike out all after the word "ordered" and insert:

That the Chair appoint a committee of three to confer and
report the names of ministers suitable to officiate as chap-
lains in the Senate during the session.

Mr. Denson accepted the amendment.

The question upon the adoption of the order was deter-
mined in the affirmative.

The President appointed Messrs. Denson, Carroll and
Earle, as said committee.

On motion by Mr. Miller,

The Senate adjourned until to-morrow morning at 12
o'clock.
