Committee on Militia.—Messrs. Lee, IJenkle, Carroll, Par-
ker, of Worcester, Fields.

Committee on Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.—Messrs.
Hammond, Parker, of Calvert, Fields, Hyland, Malone.

Committee on Public Buildings.—Messrs. Walsh, Spates,
Hyland.

Committee on Contingent Expenses of the Senate.—Messrs.
Smith, Maddox, Brewer.

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Earle, Hyland and Fields
to report a bill to repeal sections 37, 38, 39, 46, 47, 48 and
54 of Article 17 of the Code oi Public Local Laws, relating to
the town of Centreville, Queen Anne's county, and re-enact
the same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Earle, it was

Ordered, That a committee of three he appointed by the
Chair to make arrangements for the inauguration of the
Governor elect of the State of Maryland.

The President appointed Messrs. Earle, Carroll and Snyder
as said committee.

On motion by Mr. Earle, it was

Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed hy the
Chair, to carry into effect section 8, Article 3, of the Consti-
tution, relating to classification of Senators, and the ascer-
tainment of their respective terms by lot.

The President appointed Messrs. Earle, Henkle and Spates,
as said committee.

On motion hy Mr. Earle, it was

Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed by the
Chair, to wait on the Governor to request the transmission
to this House the returns of the election of its members.

The President appointed Messrs. Earle, Smith, and Den-
son, as said committee.

The President laid before the Senate the annual report of
the Comptroller of the State.

Which was referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Henkle presented the memorial of the former members
of the hoard of visitors of the Maryland Hospital for the
Insane.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Henkle, Hyland
and Kimmel.

On motion hy Mr. Hyland,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Hyland, Miller and Grove
to report a

Bill, entitled an Act to amend Article twenty-nine of
the Code of Public General Laws of the State of Maryland,
entitled Courts, suh-title, Judgments, by adding thereto the
following section.
