So the motion submitted by Mr. Legg was decided in the
affirmative.

Mr. Wentz submitted the following order :

Ordered, that the officers of this House not yet provided
for receive the same per diem and mileage as the members.

Which was read.

Mr. Stewart, of Dorchester, submitted the following sub-
stitute :

Ordered, That five dollars per day be the amount fixed as
the salary of the officers of this House, except for such as
have been heretofore fixed by order of this House, and such
mileage as is allowed to members, and that the Chairman of
the Committee on Claims issue his certificate for such amount
as may be necessary to carry out this order.

Which was adopted.

The question then recurring upon the order as amended,
It was adopted.

The bill entitled an Act to prohibit the catching of fish in
nets, by driving into the same, by threshing on the water
with poles or other instruments,

Said bill being upon a second reading.
