So the motion submitted by Mr. Mullin was decided in
the affirmative.

And the vote by which the bill was rejected was reconsid-
ered.

On motion of Mr. Mullin,

The vote by which the Senate amendments were adopted,
was reconsidered.

The question then recurring upon the adoption oi the
amendments, they were rejected.

Mr. Mullin submitted the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 30, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received the bill entitled an Act to legalize a sup-
plement to the Maryland Code containing the Acts of the
General Assembly passed at the sessions of 1861, 1861-62,
1864, 1865, 1866, and 1867, arranged in Articles and sections
to correspond with the Code by Lewis Mayer, and to appro-
priate a sum of money to purchase copies of the same, and to
regulate their distribution, with proposed amendments, and
decline to concur therein. We respectfully ask a committee
of conference, to consist of one member on the part of the
Senate and two members on the part of the House. We have
named on the part of the House Messrs. Mullin and Slingluff.

M. Y. KIDD,

Chief Clerk.
Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Mr. Nicolai submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the officers of the House have six dollars per
day for their services, save those that have already been fixed.

Which was read.

The question then being upon the adoption of the order,

Mr. Legg moved that the farther consideration of the
order be indefinitely postponed.

The question then being upon concurring in the mo-
tion,

Mr. Legg demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand being sustained,
