NIGHT SESSION.

MONDAY, March 30, 9 o'clock, P. M.

The House met.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

Slingluff, Montague, Poteet, Holmes, Biddison, Rose, Lowe,
Corbin, Horsey, Percy, Stewart, of Dorchester, Johnson,
Davis, of Cecil, Richards, Mearns, Keech, Guy, Williams,
Sudler, Legg, Holloway, Smith, of Worcester, Albaugh,
Dutrow, Wenner, Nelson, Vandiver, Hubbard, Sanner,
Wentz, Robb, Morse, Blake, Latrobe, Pentland, Smith, of
Baltimore city, Bond, of Baltimore city, Colton, Mullin,
Chaisty, Markland, Conway, Coudy, Herbert, Seibert,

The Secretary of the Senate returned the

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the American Life
Insurance and Trust Company td settle any outstanding
transaction in which it may be interested.

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendments."

Amendments proposed:

Line 7, section 7, add the following words: Provided that
the twenty cents on every hundred dollars of the capital
stock of said company be paid as provided for by and under
the Act of the General Assembly passed 1835, chapter 240,
and provided that nothing in this Act shall affect any suit
now pending in equity, or affect any plea now pleaded or
which may hereafter be pleaded in any suit now instituted.

The amendments were severally read and adopted,

And the bill as amended passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
