reported favorably a hill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Atlantic Hotel Company of Berlin, Worcester county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Slingluff, Chairman of select committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to change a part of the divid-
ing line between the 3d and 4th election districts of Balti-
more county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Fooks, Chairman of select committee, reported favaor-
ably a bill entitled an Act to protect foxes whilst pursued
by dogs, in Wicomico county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Herbert, Chairman of select committee, reported
favorably a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 1, 2, 3, 9,
11 and 19, of Article 21, of the Code of Public Local Laws
entitled " Washington County," sub-title "Alms House,''
and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Berlin,
in Worcester county,

Being upon a second reading, was,

On motion of Mr. Holloway,
Recommitted to the Committee on Corporations.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Maryland
Permanent Land and Building Society of Baltimore,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Herbert moved that the further consideration thereof
be postponed, and the bill made the order of the day for Fri-
day nest, 24th inst.

Decided in the negative.

The hill was then read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the charter of the
Baltimore Fell's Point Hebrew Friendship Congregation,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Slingluff submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the fourth section.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

The further consideration of the bill was postponed, until
Wednesday, the 29th inst.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Continental
Fire and Marine Insurance Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
