MONDAY, March 30, 1868.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Eev.
Mr. Burke.

Present at the call of the roll the following members ;

Messrs. Stewart, Speaker, Loker, Boyer, Beck, Ham-
mond, Iglehart, Deal«, Dalrymple, Mitchell, Chapman,
Nicolai, Slingluff, Montague, Poteet, Holmes, Biddison,
Rose, Lowe, Horsey, Percy, Stewart, of Dorchester, Johnson,
Davis, of Cecil, Touchstone, Richards, Mearns, Keech, Guy,
Williams, Sudler, Legg, Holloway, Smith, of Worcester,
Albaugh, Wen ner, Bowlus, Byers, Silver, Nelson, Vandiver,
Moore, Hubbard, Sanner, Wentz, Robb, Morse, Blake,
Latrobe, Pentland, Smith, of Baltimore city, Bond, of Balti-
more city, Colton, Mullin, Chaisty, McElroy, Harig, Mark-
land, Marshall, Conway, Coudy, Herbert, Seibert, Riggs,
Offutt, Conley, Kean, Trimble, Davis, of Carroll, Jordan,
Worthington, Harden, Clark, Jones, Fooks, Hopkins—75.

Mr. Legg submitted the following order:

Ordered, That during the recess of the Legislature, the
Hall of the House of Delegates and committee rooms thereto
attached, shall be under the care and control of the present
hall keeper.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Harden submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that if Mr.
Harden had been present when the vote was taken on the
repeal of the Sunday law, he would have voted, against it.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Coudy submitted the following order :

Ordered, That each member and officer of this House be
entitled to four days per diem, being the usual sum allowed
to members and officers in coming from and returning to their
homes, and that the Chairman of the Committee on Claims,
be instructed to issue his certificate for twenty dollars to each
member and officer to carry out said order.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Chapman submitted the following order :

Ordered, That the Committee on, Engrossed Bills, be and
they and hereby authorized, if they deem the same necessary,
to employ such additional clerical force as may be required to
