Horsey and, Holloway, to introduce a bill to repeal the Act
of 1867, chapter 235, relating to the number of County Com-
missioners for Somerset county.
On motion of Mr. Colton,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Colton, Smith, of Worcester,
and Dutrow, to introduce a bill to add an additional section
to the Code of Public General Laws, under the title of "Pub-
lication of Laws."
On motion of Mr. Syester,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Roads and High-
ways to introduce a bill to incorporate a company to construct
a turnpike road from Clearfoss Cross-roads, in Washington
county, through or near Fairview, in said county, to the
Pennsylvania line.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to change the name of the " Franklin Rail-
road Company" to that of the "Cumberland Valley Railroad
Company," with all the rights and powers of the Franklin
Railroad Company.
On motion of Mr. Boyer,
Leave was granted to the Queen Anne's and Kent county
delegations to introduce a bill granting the Delaware Railroad
Company a charter to build a road from the Delaware line to
or near Masseys X Roads in Kent county, Md.
On motion of Mr. Bowlus,
Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation to
introduce a bill to add additional sections to Article 11 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick county, relating to
the powers and duties of the mayor, aldermen and common
council of Frederick city.
On motion of Mr. Maynard,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to add an additional Section to Article 53 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Landlord and
Tenant,
On motion of Mr. Herbert,
Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation
to introduce a bill to amend an Act passed at January Ses-
sion, 1847, Chapter 76, Section 6, incorporating the Hagers-
town Lyceum.
On motion of Mr. Beck,
Leave was granted to Select Committee, consisting of
Messrs. Beck, Trimble and Horsey, to introduce a bill en-
titled an Act to add an additional section to the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, Article 69, entitled Officers.
