Mr. Bowlus presented the petition of 400 citizens of Fred-
erick city to authorize and empower the corporate authorities
of Frederick to subscribe a sum of money to the Frederick
and Pennsylvania Line Rail Road.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick county del-
egation.

Mr. Holloway presented the petition of Wm. T. Powell
and other citizens of Worcester county, praying the passage
of an Act to continue in force the present school system until
the 15th of July, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Bowlus presented the petition of the Mayor, Alder-
men and Common Council of Frederick, praying the passage
of a bill granting additional powers.

Which was read and referred to the Frederick county del-
egation.

Mr. Davis, of Cecil, presented the petition of Lizzie J.
Howard and 17 other public school teachers of Cecil county,
praying the passage of an Act to continue in force the pres-
ent school system until July 15, 186y.

Also, the petition of Stephen B. Loftland and 86 other
citizens of Cecil county, praying the passage of an Act to
continue in force the present school system until July 15,
1868.

Which were severally read and referred to the Committee
on Education.

Mr. Rohrer presented the petition and memorial of E. L.
Boteler and 39 other citizens of election district No. 11, in
Washington county, praying the enactment of a law to re-
imburse James H. Elgin moneys expended by him in the
erection of a school house in said district.

Which was read and referred to the Washington county
delegation.

Mr. Herbert presented the petition of Dr. Frederick Byer
Doyle and 52 other citizens of Clearspring, Washington
county, asking a continuance of the present school law until
July 15, 1868.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

Mr. Chaisty presented the petition of the President and
Board of Trustees of the Washington Medical College.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Chaisty, Harn-
mond, Morse, Holloway and Rose.

Mr. Morse presented the petition of John A. McKee and
other citizens of Caroline county, praying the passage of an
Act to incorporate Lodge No. 27, I. O. O. F., of Greens-
borough, Caroline county.
