Mr. Nicolai moved to strike out the word " ten " and
insert thirteen.

The question then recurring upon the order submitted by
Mr. Brown,

It was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Syester,

Leave was granted to the Washington and Allegany dele-
gations to introduce a bill to require the Clerk of the Cir-
cuit Court for Washington county, to prepare and make a
general index of the land records of Washington county,
and to transcribe one of the equity dockets of said court.
On motion of Mr. Montague,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to abolish the usury laws of this State.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations (to
be hereafter appointed) to report a hill to amend the charter
of the Baltimore and Yorktown Turnpike company.
On motion of Mr. Syester,

Leave was granted to the Washington and Allegany county

delegations to introduce a bill regulating the time and manner

of holding the courts in Washington county, and to repeal

and re-enact certain sections of the code of public local laws.

On motion of Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill to repeal certain sections of article 35 of the
code of public general laws relating to "elections," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Holloway,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to incorporate the town of Berlin, in Worcester
county.

On motion of Mr. Wentz,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend the testamentary laws of the State,
so as to require security from the caveator.
On motion of Mr. Jones,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to amend the law relating to the removal
of causes, in conformity with the provisions of the Consti-
tution.

On motion of Mr. Harden,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to open a turnpike road from the Liberty
pike to Westminster city, Carroll county.
On motion of Mr. Montague,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill to abolish, the tax on mortgages.
