Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

Mr. Herbert submitted the following order :

Ordered, That all motions made to print any other matter
than such as shall be entered apon the Journal of Proceed-
ings, be referred to the Committee on Printing, who shall
inquire into the propriety or necessity for the same, and
report to this House as soon thereafter as practicable ;

Which, was adopted.

Also, the following order:

Ordered, That the Keeper of the Hall be required to hoist
the National Flag daily during the session of the Legis-
lature.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Conway submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered upon the Journal of this
House that Mr. John H. Marshall, of 3d District, Baltimore
city, is detained from occupying his seat in this House by
sickness of his family.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, submitted the following
order:

Ordered, That the State Librarian be instructed to furnish
to the Reporter of the Associated Press the same allotment
of stationery to which a member of this House would be
entitled.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Rose submitted the following order :

Ordered, That a copy of the Rules and Regulations adopted
at the last session of this House be laid on the desk of each
member.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Brown submitted the following order :

Ordered, That each member of this House be furnished
with ten extra copies of each day's Journal of proceedings.

Mr. Davis, of Cecil, moved to strike out the word "ten "
and insert twenty.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Harden moved to strike out the word "ten" and
insert fifteen.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Latrobe moved to strike out the word "ten" and
insert five.

Decided in the negative.

Mr. Iglehart moved to strike out the word "ten" and
insert three.
