1142 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 27,

We hare appointed Messrs. ————— on the part of this
House.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Mullin, Acting Chairman of the Committee on Ways
and Means, reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to add a new Article to the
Code of Public General Laws, to be entitled Domestic Insur-
ance Company, providing for annual Reports of the condi-
tion of the said several Insurance Companies incorporated
under the laws of this State, and doing business within the
limits thereof.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Montague submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, lines 2 and 3, strike out the word "sometime,"
and insert the words, on the first Monday.

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Also, favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commis-
sioners of the Insane Hospital at Catonsville to receive
patients until the Hospital for Inebriates proper shall be com-
pleted.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Also, favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comp-
troller of the Treasury to adjust and settle the claims of the
State's Attorneys in the several counties and city of Balti-
more, for certain fees due by the State.

Which was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

Mr. Mitchell, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported favorably the

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 153, passed
January session, 1867, entitled an Act to add an additional
section to Article 30 of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to Crimes and Punishments, and to re-enact the
same with amendments.

Which, was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.
