The bill as amended was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 50, Article 5, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title Appeals, sub-title Ap-
peals from Justices of the Peace, and to re-enact the same
with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The hill entitled an Act to regulate and make uniform the
compensation of the Judges of the Orphans' Courts, of the
several counties, and to fix the compensation of the Judges
of the Orphans' Court of Baltimore city.

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Rose submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, line 2, strike out the word "ten," and insert the
word four.

Mr. Pentland submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, line 2, strike out the word "ten," and insert
the word six.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Iglehart,
The bill was indefinitely postponed.

Mr. Iglehart moved that when the House takes a recess it
will meet again at 4 o'clock, P. M.

Mr. Chapman moved that when this House takes a recess
it be to meet again at 5 o'clock, P. M.

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, moved that when the House
takes a recess, it will be to meet again at 8 o'clock, P. M.
Decided in the affirmative.

The bill entitled an Act to amend the 13th, 14th and 15th
sections of Article 98 of the Code of General Laws, relating
to Wild Fowl,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Slingluff,

The further consideration of the bill was postponed in-
definitely.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal, and re-enact with
amendments, section 98 of Article 16 of the Code of Public
General Laws, entitled Chancery, and relating to service of
notice on non-residents,
