The bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay David Fowler for legal services in the Comptroller's De-
partment,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-enact sub-
section first, of an Act passed January session 1865, entitled
an Act to add an Article to the Code of Public General Laws
in relation to the publication of laws so as to provide for the
publication of the Laws in the German language in Balti-
more city,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Mutual Coal
Company, of Allegany county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commissioners of
Howard county to subscribe to the capital stock of Turnpike
roads, in said county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 38 of Article 22,
of the Code of Public Local Laws for Worcester county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the selecting, draw-
ing and summoning of Jurors in the several counties, and
prescribing their qualification, passed at the January session,
1867, and re-enacting the same to read as follows.

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Iglehart submitted the following amendment:

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Act entitled an Act to provide for the select-
ing, drawing and summoning Jurors in the several counties,
and prescribing their qualifications, passed at the January
session, 1867, chapter 367, he and the same is hereby repeal-
ed and re-enacted so as to read as follows.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Nelson submitted the following amendment :

Section 2, line 13, strike out the word "sixty,"and insert
the word seventy.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Keech submitted the following amendment:

Section 4, line 10, strike out the words cubiform box with
