Mr. Bond, of Calvert, reported favorably a bill entitled an
Act for the relief of Nathaniel Duke, George McDowell and
Thomas B. Billingsley ;

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Latrobe, Chairman of Select Committee, reported fa-
vorably a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to provide for the improvement of
their public parks, by making appropriations therefor, within
certain limits ;

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to establish at the city of Annap-
olis, a State Printing Office,

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. .Nicolai,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
bill made the order of the day for Wednesday, 29th January.

Mr. Jordan (the rules being suspended,) presented a peti-
tion from Joseph Slack, N. D. Norris, O. P. Buckingham,
and seventy-five other citizens of Carroll coiinty, to continue
the present school system to the 15th of July, 1868 ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Edu-
cation.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to open
and improve the road from Frederick county to the Spout
Spring, on the Hamburg road, passing Bradrups' saw mill,
passed at January session, I860, General Assembly of Mary-
land,

Being upon a second reading.

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, lines 5 and 6, strike oat the name of Valentine
A. Albaugh.

Which was adopted.
The bill as amended,,

Was then read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed
for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of William 11.
Peake and David White, of Anne Arundel county,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to define the limits of the several
