The House then proceeded to the consideration of the joint
resolutions expressive of the views of the General Assembly
upon the present condition of the nation.

Said resolutions being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Mullin,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
resolutions made the order of the day for Monday the 30th
inst.

The House then proceeded to the consideration of the next
order of the day, being

The bill entitled an Act to repeal sections one hundred and
seventy-nine, and one hundred and eighty, with section two,
of chapter sixty-six, of January session, 1866 and re-enact the
same with amendments.

Said bill being upon a second reading,

Mr. Mullin submitted the following amendment :

Section 179, line 2, after the word ''shall" insert the word
any

Which was adopted.

Mr. Devecmon submitted the following amendment :

Section 179, line 3, after the words "any kind" insert the
words, or any other goods, wares or merchandise whatso-
ever.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Devecmon submitted the following amendment:

Section 2, line 8, after the words "of the" insert the words,
City of Baltimore, or county.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Devecmon submitted the following amendment :

Section 2, line 9, after the words "to the" strike out the
words Inebriate Asylum of the.

Which was rejected.
