1080 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

Section 179, line 9, strike out the words, "Inebriate
Asylum of the State, and insert the word informer.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Mullin submitted the following amendment :

Section 179, line 7, strike out all after the word "dollars"
to "State," in line 9, and insert the words, one-third to the
informer, one-third to the use of Public Schools of the county
or city of Baltimore in which such offense shall be committed,
and one-third to the inebriate Asylum of the State.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Harden submitted the following amendment:

Strike out section 180.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Montague submitted the following amendment :

Section 180, line 2, after the word "Sunday," add the words
on any public highway, or in any public assembly.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Smith, of Worcester, submitted the following amend-
ment :

Add at end of line 8, section 180, the words Worcester
county is exempt from the provisions of this Act.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city, submitted the following
amendment:

Add at the end of section 2 the words, provided, however,
that nothing contained in this Act shall be construed to re-
peal the present law so far as it applies to the city of Balti-
more.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Harden submitted the following amendment:

Sections, line 2, strike out the words "its passage" and
insert the words nineteen hundred.

The question then being upon the adoption of the amend-
ment,
