Anne, in Somerset county, Maryland, and re-enact the same
with amendments.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Provident Life
and Trust Company of Baltimore.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company to con-
struct a turnpike road from Williamsport, in Washington
county, to the Washington County Rail Road.

Said bills being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Herbert,

The further consideration of each bill was postponed, and
they were severally

Made the order of the day for Saturday, March 28.

Mr. Nelson, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture,
reported favorably the following Senate bills :

A bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 4 and 13 of the
Act of Assembly, passed at the January session, 1856, chap-
ter 97, entitled an Act to establish and endow an Agricultural
College in the State of Maryland, and to enact the following
in lieu thereof.

A bill entitled an Act to prevent the spread of pleuro-
pneumonia and other contagious diseases among cattle in this
State.

Said bills being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Slingluff,

The further consideration of each bill was postponed, and
they were severally made the order of the day for Saturday,
March 28th.

Mr. Slingluff, Chairman of the Committee on Internal
Improvements, reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to appoint commissioners
to have a survey made and estimate of the cost of construct-
ing a railroad from some point in Prince George's county to
Point Lookout.

Said bill being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Slingluff,

The further consideration thereof was postponed, and the
hill made the order of the day for Saturday, March 28th.

Mr. Kean, Chairman of a select committee, reported
favorably
