Mr. Hall presented the petition of the County Commis-
sioners and twenty citizens of Allegany county, praying the
passage of an Act to authorize the County Commissioners to
levy an additional sum of money for the county roads, lead-
in from Accident to Oakland ;

Which was read and referred to the Allegany delegation.

Mr. Wentz submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of the House,

that Messrs. Davis, Montague. Coad and Sanner, are absent

it on business connected with this House ;

I Which was adopted.

Mr. Mullin submitted the following order :

Ordered, That 1000 copies of the Report of the Cotnmis-

sioners appointed to prepare drafts of General Laws relating

to corporations and other purposes, be printed for the use of

this House, in pamphlet form, and that 100 copies be printed

in bill form ;

Which was read.

Mr. Iglehart submitted the following amendment:

Strikeout the word "one," before the word "thousand,"

and insert the word ' two;'

Which was rejected.

Mr. Keech submitted the following amendment:

Strike out the words "one thousand," and insert the

words "five hundred;

Which was adopted.
The order as amended, was then adopted.

Mr. Silver submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that John S.

Brown was not in his seat yesterday, owing to extreme ill-

ness in his family ;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Keech submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that Ben-

jamin Silver, a member of this House, was not in his seat

on yesterday, on account of inability to reach this city in

time;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Jordan submitted the following order :

Ordered, That it be placed on the Journal of this House,

that Mr. John W. Harden, is absent from this House on

account of ill health :

Which was adopted.
