Section 1, line 39, after the word "Diffy" insert the words
Jane Moore, widow of Stephen H. Moore,

Which was adopted.

Mr. Albaugh submitted the following amendment,

Section 1, line 9, after the name of "John Jackson" the
words Benedict Green.

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Bond, of Baltimore city,

The bill was then recommitted to the Committee on Pen-
sions.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled an
Act to repeal the 149, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156 and
157th sections of the 3d Article of the Public Local Laws,
relating to roads in Baltimore county, and to enact the fol-
lowing sections in lieu thereof.

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ments."

Amendments proposed.

Amend by adding at the end of section 3 the words "that
no claim for damages snail vest in any contractor under this
Act if the Legislature shall alter or repeal this law."

Amend section 151 by inserting after the word purposes in
the 18th line the words "not exceeding fifteen cents on the
one hundred dollars."

Amend sub-section 5 by inserting after the word payment
in the 4th line the words, "for road purposes."

The amendments wrere adopted,

And the bill as amended passed by yeas and nays as fol-
lows :
