and sent to the County Commissioners for Charles county, and
thereupon it shall be the duty of said County Commis-
sioners, at a meeting to be called for that purpose, to cast up
the ballots cast at said elections, and if it shall appear to
them that more ballots have been cast for said Road Law
than against said Road Law, the said County Commissioners
shall issue their Proclamation, declaring this Act to be adopted
by the people of Charles county, and they shall proceed
to carry out the provisions thereof as required therein, and
the same shall take effect from the date of said Proclamation.

Which was adopted.

The bill, as amended, was then read a second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to confer upon Lochiel Lumber,
Mining, Manufacturing and Improvement Company of Al-
legany county, the authority to erect and maintain a boom
or booms, with piers and necessary appurtenances, upon the
Great Savage River, in Allegany county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add an additional section to the
Public Local Laws of Prince George's county, sub-title
Bladensburg, to prevent swine from going at large in said
village,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Dry
Dock and Warehouse Company,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 20 of Article 4 of
the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled Baltimore City, sub-
title Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and to re-enact
the same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be .engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act amendatory of an Act passed
February 13th, 1862, and entitled an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore City Passenger Railway Company,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Blake submitted the following amendment :

Sub-section 13, line 5, strike out the word "seven," and
insert the word six.

Which was adopted.
