1030 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 623, of Article 4,
of the Public Local Laws, entitled city of Baltimore, sub-title
Justices of the Peace and Constables, and to re-enact the
same and substitute the following in lieu thereof,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to add additional sections to the
41st Article of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the
streets, lanes and alleys in the city of Baltimore, and the
paving and repaying, and changing the grade of streets,
lanes and alleys in said city,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
President and Directors of the Maryland Insane Asylum to
convey certain land to the Maryland Inebriate Asylum, for
the uses of said Institution,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 28, of Article 16,
of the Public Local Laws of Prince George's county,
entitled Bladensburg, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, so as to read as follows,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 17, of Article 30, of
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled Crimes and Pun-
ishments, under the head of Bribery, and to re-enact the
same with amendments,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

Mr. Latrobe submitted the following message :

March 23d, 1868.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully ask the return of House bill entitled an
Act to add additional sections to Article 26, of Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, entitled Corporations, sub-title Religious
Corporations.
