The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Marlboro' and
Patuxent River Rail Road Company,

Being upon a second reading,

On motion of Mr. Williams,
The hill was indefinitely postponed.

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the repairs of the
public roads of Howard county,

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Jones submitted the following amendment:

Section 5, lines 4 and 5, strike out the words "two dol-
lars," and insert the words one dollar and fifty cents.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Jones submitted the following amendment:

Section 6, line 5, strike out the words "two dollars," and
insert the words one dollar and fifty cents.

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad Company, to lay a Railroad track in
certain streets in the city of Baltimore, and to make an ap-
propriation for paying the expenses thereof, and on account
of and for the interest of the tobacco fund.

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Williams submitted the following amendment :

Section 2, line 1, after the word "State," insert the words
"upon the warrant of the Comptroller."

Which was adopted.

Mr. Jones submitted the following amendment:

"Strike out the second section."

Which was rejected.

The bill as amended, was then read a second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to make valid the bequest made
by Thomas B. Kessler, late of Frederick county, State of
Maryland, to Peter Beard, in trust for the use and benefit of
Mount Zion German Reformed Church, of Frederick county,
