1028 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 23,

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Agriculture.

Also,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 103 of chapter 183,
entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Princess Anne, in
Somerset county, Maryland, and re-enact the same with
amendments.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Frederick and
Williamsport Rail Road Company.

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following amendment:

Section 10, line 5, after the word "line," insert the words
at a point distant from Williamsport not more than twenty-
five miles.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Silver submitted the following amendment:

Section 21, line 4, strike out the word "modify," and
insert the word appeal.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Bowlus submitted the following amendment:
Strike out sections 22, 23 and 24.
Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was then read a second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to refund to Charles H. Mitchum
a sum of money erroneously paid,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to appropriate an additional sum
of money for the more speedy publication of volumes 25, 26
and 27, Maryland Reports,

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2d of chapter 110
of the law passed January 20th, 1808, entitled an Act to
incorporate the contributors to the Baltimore General Dis-
pensary,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
