WORCESTER COUNTY.

the Wednesday after the first Monday in June, annually, and
that all the other meetings of the said trustees, under the act,
entitled, an act for the relief of the poor of the several coun-
ties of this state, and the several supplements thereto, shall be
subject to the appointment of the said trustees.

Badge.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That from and after the passage
of this act, the said trustees, or the said overseer of the poor of
Worcester county, may at their discretion, use the badge de-
scribed in the tenth section of the act, entitled, an act for the
relief of the poor of the several counties of this state, in the
manner prescribed by the said tenth section of the said act.

AM ACT to repeal the twelfth and thirteenth sections of an Act for the
relief of the Poor of Worcester County, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and twenty-one, chapter one hundred and fifty-four.

Repeal.

SEC. 1 . Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the twelfth and thirteenth sections of an act, entitled, an
act for the relief of the poor of Worcester county, being sup-
plementary to the act, entitled, an act for the relief of the poor
of the several counties of this state, be, and the same are
hereby repealed, so far as they relate to the selling the poor-
house lands, and the purchasing of other lands for a poor-
house in said county, and also so far as it relates to the levying
and collecting money for the purpose aforesaid.

Acccptance
required.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this act shall not take
effect or.be in force until the trustees of the poor of Worcester
county shall enter their acceptance of the same on their jour-
nals or minutes of proceedings.

That George W. Purnell, Peter Whaley, John Fassett, Sen.
William Showell, John Mitchell, John C. Derickson, Levi
Cathell, James Fooks, of Daniel, Levin Irving, Jonathan L.
Parsons, Charles Parker, Isaac Victor, John Dall, Teagle
Townsend, John Bacon, Isaac S. Johnson, Littleton Bonum,
Jesse Jones, Joseph Hutcheson, Thomas R. Rounds, Peter
Dickerson, George Bishop, John U. Dennis, John O. Selby and
David R. Hopkins, be, and they are hereby appointed commis-
sioners, and they or a majority of them, if and whenever they or
a majority of them within the space of two years from the date
pf the passage of this act, shall deem it expedient and for the
interest of the inhabitants of Worcester county, and the com-
