ceeding fifteen hundred dollars, to be applied to the payment
and discharge of the expenses incurred by the attendance of
jurymen at Prince George's county court.
SEC. 2, S, 4. Repealed by 1830, ch. 108, sec. 3.

A SUPPLEMENT to the ACT/ entitled, an Act to provide for the payment
of the Jurors in Prince George's Cotinty, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and twenty, chapter sixty-three. — 1830, ch. 108.

 

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Prince George's county, be, and they
are hereby authorized and empowered, to cause any money
which may be hereafter levied and collected by authority of
the first section of the act to which this is a supplement, to be
deposited to their credit in the Farmers' Bank of Maryland at
Annapolis, or in any bank in the District of Columbia that
they may think proper to select, for the purpose of paying the
jurors of said county, or the said levy court may, if they
should deem it more conducive to public convenience, direct
and require the collector of the county tax to pay the jurors of
said county, out of the money so levied and collected, such
sum as may be due them respectively.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That a certificate signed by the
clerk of Prince George's county court, expressing the number
of days which the juryman may have attended, and the sum
due to him for such attendance, shall be sufficient authority to
the cashier of the bank in which the said money may be depo-
sited, or the collector of the tax of said county, as the case may
be, to pay the amount so specified in the said certificate.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That the second, third and fourth
sections of the act to which this is a supplement, be, and the
same is hereby repealed.

LEVY COURT.
AN ACT to repeal the third section of an Act, entitled, an Act for the re-
valuation of the Assessable Property in Prince George's County, passed
at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-four, chapter thirty-
eight, and for other purposes. — 1829, ch.88.

Repeal.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the third section of the act, entitled, an act for the re-
valuation of the assessable property in Prince George's county,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all the powers lawfully
exercised by, or vested in, the commissioners of the tax for
Prince George's county, and all the duties required by law
to be performed by them, shall be vested in, and exercised
and performed by the levy court of said county.
