AN additional SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an Act to provide for the
Public Instruction of Youth in Primary Schools throughout this Slate,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and twenty-five, chapter
one hundred and sixty-two, so far as the same relates to Kent county.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
it shall and may be lawful for, and the clerk of Kent county
court is hereby required to distribute and pay over the state
school fund received by him, to be distributed and paid in the
year eighteen hundred and thirty-six, to the eighteen school
districts in operation in said county ; and that the trustees of

specified by the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chap-
ter three hundred and three, section five, to the said clerk, by
the twentieth day of February, eighteen hundred and thirty-

seven; And be it enacted, that the time for the making the
report to the treasurer of the western shore by the said clerk
be, and the same is hereby extended to the first day of March,
eighteen hundred and thirty-seven.

AN ACT to authorise the Trustees of school district number six, in the first
election district in Kent County, to sell a certain Lot of Ground therein
mentioned, and for other purposes. — 1837, ch. 86.

proscribed.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the trustees of school district number six, in the first election
district in Kent county, be, and they, or a majority of them, are
hereby authorized and empowered to sell and convey the lot of
ground and building which was occupied as. the site of the old
school-house in said district, and the money arising from said
sale to apply towards the payment of the new site and the
school-house in said district, and the balance, if any, towards
the general use of said school district.

A SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an Act to provide for the Instruction
of Youth in Primary Schools throughout this State, so far as the same
relates to Kent county .—1837, ch. 343.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the trustees of the school district, composed of Chester-
town, in the second election district in Kent county, be, and
they are hereby authorized to divide the said school district
into two districts.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court of Kent
county be, and they are hereby authorized and required to
levy for each of said districts, on the assessable property of
said county, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to be
collected and paid over as now required by law.
