DORCHESTER COUNTY.

the register of wills for said county, when the duties herein
required shall have been performed ; Provided nevertheless,

that the entire cost shall not exceed the sum of three hundred
dollars ; And provided also, that before the register of wills of
Dorchester county shall pioceed to execute the provisions of

Court to
direct, &c.

this act, it shall be the duty of the judges of the orphans court
of said county (or a majority of them) to ascertain and deter-
mine whether the work herein required to be executed is ne-
cessary and requisite for the public interest, and if they shall
so determine, it shall be the duty of the register of wills, un-
der the direction of said court, with all convenient despatch to
carry into effect the provisions of this act.

AN ACT to repeal an Act, entitled, a Supplement to an Act, entitled, an
Act for the better protection of Slaveholders in the several Counties
therein mentioned, so far as relates to Talbot and Dorchester Counties.

Act re-
pealed.

Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
an act of assembly passed at the December session of eighteen
hundred and eighteen, entitled, a supplement to an act, enti-
tled, an act for the better protection of slaveholders in the
several counties therein mentioned, be, and the same is hereby
repealed, so far as i elates to Talbot and Dorchester counties.

A further SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an Act relating to the Public
Roads in the several Counties therein mentioned.— 1808, ch. 12.

all and so much of the thirteenth section of the original act to
which this is a further supplement, and the third section of the

supplement to the said act,* so far as the said sections relate to,
and operate upon, the inhabitants of Dorchester county, be and
are hereby abrogated and repealed, any law to the contraiy
notwithstanding.

A further SUPPLEMENT to the ACT, entitled, an Act relating to the Public
Roads in the several Counties therein mentioned. — 1811, ch. 131.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all and so much of the eleventh section of the original
act to which this is a further additional supplement, as makes
it the duty of the overseers of the roads to pay the amount of
all fines and forfeitures received by them, to the justices of the
levy court, so far as the said section relates to, and operates
upon the inhabitants of Dorchester county, be and are hereby
repealed, any law to the contrary notwithstanding.
